Astracia / Policies & information
Terms of service
The terms for using Astracia: accounts, services, payments, public data, report ownership and limitations of liability.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Astracia is an online market and competitor research service. From a business idea, it discovers and checks competitors, collects publicly available information about their websites, prices, search signals and mentions, and prepares a report and market entry plan (“we” or “Astracia”). The service is provided by UMS Solutions d.o.o., Belgrade 11050, Serbia, tax ID 114522183, company registration number 22034588, registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
These terms cover astracia.com and app.astracia.com, including the marketing website, application, reports, Startup Checklist and MCP access.
By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Accounts and registration
To use the service, you need an account. You must:
- be at least 18 years old or have the consent of your legal representative;
- provide accurate information, including an email address you own and use;
- keep your password and MCP keys secure and not share them with third parties.
You are responsible for activity under your account, including requests made with your MCP keys. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact office@astracia.com, change your password and revoke your keys.
You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account for a breach of these terms. We will explain the reason by email and, where possible, allow time to resolve the issue.
3. What the service includes
Astracia combines market research, competitor reports, suggested market entry plans and a startup preparation and launch checklist. The Market Entry Blueprint page describes the report, and the Startup Checklist page describes the task catalog.
Research coverage depends on accessible public data and connected sources. Plan recommendations are hypotheses to test. The checklist is a shared catalog that you adapt to your product; updating a task status records progress and does not perform an action on an external platform.
We do not currently publish a price list on the website. Any price, access scope and billing terms must be shown before a purchase is confirmed. A description of a feature is not an offer of unlimited usage.
4. Payments, renewals and cancellation
This section applies if you purchase a paid service. The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Prices are stated in euros.
- Payment processing. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record, issues your invoice and appears on your card statement. Refund terms are set out in our Refund policy.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews at the end of its billing period unless you cancel before then.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain the agreed access until then. There is no cancellation penalty or exit fee.
- Price changes. We give at least 30 days’ notice. The new price applies from the next billing period.
- Failed payments. We retry the payment and notify you. If payment remains unsuccessful, access to paid features may be restricted under the purchase terms.
Paddle emails your invoice, which you can also download.
5. Acceptable use
Astracia is a tool for researching markets you operate in or plan to enter.
You may
- research markets, competitors and channels for your business or an authorizing client;
- analyze publicly available competitor information within reasonable limits;
- use reviewed reports, battlecards and plans in your business or client work.
You may not
- use the service to monitor or pressure individuals: Astracia researches businesses and products;
- use collected data for unsolicited bulk communication, deception, defamation or impersonation;
- resell account access, share credentials or MCP keys outside your team, or offer Astracia as your product without written agreement;
- circumvent access restrictions, automatically scrape our interface outside MCP, overload the system or access areas you are not authorized to use;
- use the service in connection with unlawful content or activity.
We may immediately restrict or suspend accounts for serious violations. For less serious issues, we normally contact you first and ask you to resolve them.
6. Public data and our crawler
Competitor information comes from publicly available sources: website pages, sitemap.xml files, public domain registries, public search and social APIs, advertisements and reviews. We do not bypass logins, paywalls or technical protections, or collect information from closed systems.
- Our crawler identifies itself as AstraciaBot, respects robots.txt and limits requests per website. See AstraciaBot for details and opt-out instructions.
- We do not collect competitor employee or user personal data for resale. Personal information incidentally present in public sources, such as a founder’s name, is processed only to display it in the report.
- Website owners can exclude their domain through robots.txt or by contacting office@astracia.com.
7. Content ownership
Reports Astracia creates for you belong to you. Market overviews, competitor dossiers, battlecards, plans and PDF or Markdown exports can be used commercially, shared with clients and edited without additional fees or an attribution requirement.
Your own inputs, including ideas, domains, notes and decisions, also remain yours. We process them to provide the service.
We retain ownership of our software, interface, name and logo, directory and checklist catalogs, scoring methodology and databases. Using the service gives you permission to use these assets, not ownership of them.
Understanding generated content
- Reports use automated processing and AI models applied to public data. Information can be incomplete or outdated, and models can make mistakes. Source links let you check report claims.
- You make the decisions. Verify important facts before investing, changing prices or contacting partners based on a report.
You grant us a limited right to store, process and display your content solely to provide the service, maintain it and make backups. This right ends when you delete the content or account. You may revoke a report sharing link you created at any time.
8. Availability and maintenance
- We announce planned maintenance in advance and schedule it outside main working hours where possible.
- Unplanned interruptions can result from infrastructure, third-party services or software errors. We address them when identified; interrupted research resumes after restart.
- We provide no formal service-level availability guarantee unless separately agreed.
- We make regular backups, but recommend exporting and retaining important reports yourself.
9. Limitations of liability
We do not guarantee business success. Astracia provides data, opportunity assessments and suggested steps to help you make informed market decisions. We do not promise customer numbers, revenue or discovery of every competitor.
We are also not responsible for:
- decisions you make using the service’s data, which represents the best available assessment rather than certainty;
- the accuracy of external public sources;
- lost profits, lost customers, indirect or consequential losses;
- outages or policy changes in third-party services on which features depend.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
This section does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for new features, legal changes or changes in how we operate.
- Minor clarifications and corrections are published here with an updated date.
- Material changes to prices, service scope or liability are communicated by email and in the application at least 30 days before taking effect.
If you disagree, you may close your account before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the changes.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia.
We first try to resolve disputes through discussion. Contact office@astracia.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If no agreement is reached, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction at the service provider’s registered office has jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer under consumer protection law, you retain all statutory rights, including access to out-of-court dispute resolution through a competent body.
