About the startup
Mirror Fitness is a real-time form coach for bodyweight workouts on iPhone. Prop up your phone, do your reps, and the app counts each one while grading your form rep-by-rep — with a specific tip after every rep so you know what to fix. Today it handles squats, push-ups, and planks. More exercises are coming, but I'm intentionally going slow on adding them because each one takes weeks to tune properly. What makes Mirror Fitness different from the dozen AI fitness apps already on the App Store: • Rule-based, not AI. Every score and tip comes from form rules I hand-wrote over Apple's Vision pose stream. No LLM, no model inference, no inflated promises. You could read the rules if you wanted to. • 100% on-device. No video is recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere. There are no servers — the app literally cannot leak your data because the data never leaves your phone. • Free. No signup, no email, no ads, no paywall. There's nothing to upsell because there's nothing to upsell to. comes from hand-written form rules.
