About the startup

Loreon is interactive fiction you play, not an AI chat you prompt. Every scenario is authored before you ever open it: a canon, a cast, an arc, and a persistent world state the narrator has to respect. Your choices branch the story and the consequences carry forward - characters remember, the world changes, and endings differ. You are playing through a story someone designed, with an AI narrating it, rather than talking to a model that invents whatever you ask for. What you get: - A library of hand-built scenarios across dark fantasy, corporate noir, cyberpunk, romance and more, each with its own world and rules - Real branching, where decisions close doors as well as open them - Illustrated scenes and original scores that match the world you are in - Persistent state, so the story stays coherent over a long session instead of drifting - Full localisation in English, Ukrainian, Spanish and Japanese - not just translated menus, but canon and characters written to read natively Runs in the browser, no download, free to start. Built for people who wanted a story to play through, not a conversation partner.

Drip's Leadpages deal was a 13-month acquisition, not a revenue chart

Rob Walling used Startups for the Rest of Us episode 298 to describe Drip's sale to Leadpages as a long strategic acquisition, and he kept purchase price and recurring revenue off the record.

Pat Flynn's first product month was $7,906.55, a year and a half after the study blog

Pat Flynn says he was laid off as an architect in 2008, then sold a LEED-exam ebook into traffic he had already built; October's $7,906.55 was the first month with his own product, not the first month the site existed.

Ship 30 for 30 started as a $50 Slack challenge, not a later AI newsletter

Dickie Bush says Ship 30 for 30 began in November 2020 when he asked about 500 followers to write daily, had 50 people in Slack six days later, and later wrote with Nicolas Cole that they had taught 10,000-plus students
