About the startup
AI forgets. Long conversations compress and details drop. New conversations. You keep re-explaining instead of moving forward. Meanwhile there are four hundred voice memos and brain dumps sitting on your Mac. Walks, drives, the 2am idea. But many of them aren't useable, simply because you can't find them. 🔗 https://www.voicememoexporter.com/ WHAT IT DOES Voice Memo Exporter is a Mac app that bulk exports Apple Voice Memos into one searchable Master Transcript, with copied original audio, preserved dates, and TXT, MD, DOCX, and PDF output. Apple lets you copy Voice Memos transcripts one at a time. Four hundred transcripts of recordings means four hundred times, and a four-hundred-step task never gets started. HOW DO I EXPORT AND TRANSCRIBE ALL MY VOICE MEMOS AT ONCE? Open the recordings already on your Mac and click once. From there it does the work. - Copies the original audio into a folder you own - Transcribes each recording locally - Keeps titles and recording dates where they're available - Combines everything into one document, in date order - Exports TXT, MD, DOCX, or PDF - Writes metadata.json, a CSV, and an archive index Your original Voice Memos are never moved, renamed, or deleted. CAN I USE IT WITH CHATGPT OR CLAUDE? Yes, and it's one paste instead of four hundred. You hand the AI the whole file and say: this is me, catch up. Then ask what you keep circling back to, what you were building last spring, or what your dad actually said in that interview. Mine has 168 recordings in it. When the AI forgets me, I refer to my Master Transcript.MD and keep writing. WHO USES IT Writers with years of walking notes. Founders with an idea backlog they've never reread. Podcasters and journalists with interview archives. People writing a memoir from recordings of a parent. If you think and speak faster than your write, I built this for you too. DOES IT UPLOAD MY RECORDINGS? No. Transcription runs on your Mac using Whisper. Nothing goes to a server. No account, no Apple ID login, no subscription, no per-minute transcription bill. Notarized Mac app. Limits worth knowing: This is not a diarization app. The local transcription is best-effort and does better with clear, close speech than with noise or overlapping voices. It works with recordings already on your Mac, so anything still on your iPhone has to sync over first. It never logs into iCloud for you. WHY I BUILT IT I was writing a memoir for my daughters and the material was already there. Four years of voice memos. Apple gives you no way to get them out together, and every AI chat started blank. I was copying transcripts one at a time, pasting them in, burning tokens, getting nowhere. What I needed was one document. Every memo, in order, with dates. Something I could search and hand to Claude in one line. So I built it in Hawaii, at midnight after the girls went to sleep. I can't really code, but I built it anyway. REQUIREMENTS macOS 12 Monterey or later. Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported. PRICE $49 one time. Forever license. No subscription, no account. 30-day refund. Founding price, going up as the app grows! PEER PUSH PROMO ONLY Use code 'PEERPUSH' for 20% off $49 (save $9.80) exp.
