About the startup
Are you suffering from Zombie Scrum? Symptoms include: Refinement sessions where everyone watches one person fight with data entry, standups that have become lifeless status reports, retro improvements that only come up during the next retro, and teams that feel disconnected from the user and the purpose. Agile values people and interactions over tools and processes, but bad tools and process theater kill those interactions, especially for remote teams. Mevali is project management software for teams that actually run Scrum or Scrumban. Mevali puts user outcomes first by attaching a Persona to every Story, Bug, and Feature, along with an estimate of user value called Coins. The team can open Persona context from the work item itself, making it easier to understand the user while planning, refining, and prioritizing. Persona plus Coins gives the team a clearer sense of purpose and relative value than a priority list alone. Mevali also gives the whole team a collaborative surface to work on together, instead of making everyone watch one facilitator drive. Refinement goes faster because Features, Stories, and Acceptance Criteria can be manipulated with drag-and-drop or keyboard shortcuts. Promoting Acceptance Criteria to a Story, promoting a Story to a Feature, demoting a Story to Acceptance Criteria, or moving work to a new home is one click. Intra-Feature Story dependencies can be created with a few quick drag-and-drop operations. Scrum events move faster because common activities and concerns are built in: Planning Poker during refinement, Monte Carlo simulation during planning, sprint goals and retro process improvement ideas in stand-up. The Kanban board makes it easier for teams to spot flow issues with WIP alerts, aging and aging alerts, waiting indicators, and other flow analysis tools. Mevali can be set up in minutes and includes the tools a Scrum or Scrumban team needs to work together from day one.
