About the startup
We built BlinkDisk because your files are at risk. One wrong click, a dying drive or a ransomware attack can wipe out years of work and memories. Most people only have one copy of their data and that one copy isn’t enough. BlinkDisk is a desktop app that puts you in control: pick the folders you care about, and in just a few minutes the first backup is running in the background. It works across Windows, Mac and Linux, and no tech wizardry required. But we didn’t stop there. We know “cloud sync” is not the same as backup. Services that mirror your files can also mirror your mistakes (delete a file, it’s gone everywhere). With BlinkDisk your backups are encrypted locally, stored wherever you like (cloud, self-host, bring-your-own-keys), and you can restore any file, anytime. Why BlinkDisk stands out: - Built for everyone: Install, select folders, done. No setup headaches. - End-to-end encryption: Your data is encrypted before it leaves your device. Only you can access it. - Deduplication by design: Identical files are detected and stored only once. This saves space, speeds things up. - Cross-platform: Supports Windows 10/11, macOS and Linux. - Managed or self-host: Use BlinkDisk Cloud for a plug-and-play solution, or bring your own cloud credentials and go completely free, perfect if you like DIY.
