About the startup
dbimg is a simple, developer-friendly media hosting platform for uploading and sharing images, videos, and audio files with permanent direct links. It solves the common problems of temporary or expiring file hosts, restrictive upload limits, unnecessary account requirements, and complicated media sharing workflows. Users can upload a file, get a direct URL, and immediately use that link anywhere on the web. Uploads work without requiring an account, with support for 15+ media formats and files up to 75 MB on the free tier. Pro users can upload files up to 250 MB. dbimg also provides useful tools for developers and creators, including albums and galleries for organizing media, password-protected uploads, an API with API-key authentication, and URL-based image transformations such as greyscale, blur, rounded corners, circles, and rotation. Pro adds higher limits and additional effects such as pixelation, duotone, and enhancement.
