About the startup
Cadence is a minimalist reading tool designed to help you build focus and increase reading speed through rhythm. Instead of overwhelming you with controls, Cadence presents text in a guided reading flow that trains your eyes and brain to move together. Adjustable cadence (words per minute) helps you gradually increase reading speed while maintaining comprehension. You can paste text, upload documents, or read from links, then switch between different reading modes depending on how you want to engage with the content. Guided mode keeps your eyes locked into a steady rhythm, while Focus mode allows a more traditional reading experience with subtle visual assistance. Cadence also includes multiple reading styles, density options, and typography settings so the experience can adapt to different types of material. Features like smart phrase grouping, highlight or flash pacing, and bionic emphasis help reduce cognitive friction and keep attention on the text. Everything is designed to stay calm and distraction-free. Settings stay out of the way until you need them, allowing the reading interface itself to remain clean and immersive. Cadence works entirely in the browser and supports common formats like PDF, DOCX, EPUB, and plain text. Reading sessions are tracked so you can see your weekly rhythm, average reading speed, and progress over time. Whether you’re reviewing research, studying, or simply trying to read more consistently, Cadence helps you develop better reading flow - one session at a time.
