About the startup
ThreadIn is a Chrome extension that helps non-native English speakers understand real online comments and learn English from the conversations they already read. It works directly inside supported websites and adds lightweight AI learning tools to comment sections, posts, and subtitles. With ThreadIn, you can translate comments, explain slang and tone, understand hidden meaning, save useful vocabulary, highlight saved words when they appear again, translate selected text, draft natural English replies, and listen to translated subtitles in sync with video playback. ThreadIn is designed for people who want to read English comments more easily, understand native-like expressions, and join online conversations with more confidence. Your API key stays in your browser storage. ThreadIn uses your own OpenRouter API key and only sends the text needed for translation, explanation, vocabulary extraction, subtitle translation, voice playback, or reply generation.
