ForgeGUI sold game-native UI, not another image generator
Giulio Greco says ForgeGUI launched on 12 March 2026 as an AI studio for Roblox, UEFN, Unity, and Unreal assets, then he later reported a $3.2 million seed at a $40 million cap after about 100,000 game developers had used it.

The story
On 12 March 2026, ForgeGUI went live as a browser studio that claims to turn a prompt into game-ready art. The company page at https://forgegui.com/ does not sell a general image model. It sells a workflow for people already building on Roblox, Fortnite Creative (UEFN), Minecraft, Unity, Unreal Engine, and Blender: type what you need, wait a few seconds, then export PNGs, ZIPs, or GLBs, or push into Roblox Studio through a plugin. The assets on that page are the ones game teams ship: thumbnails, icons, HUD pieces, health bars, skill icons, inventory panels, buttons, and 3D objects. Greco's later posts treat that launch date as the clock start. Later case studies that annualized a six-week revenue sprint sit on that product claim, not the other way around.
The product argument is consistency rather than a pretty one-off. Upload a UI screenshot as a style reference and the model is supposed to lock colors, borders, and lighting across a set. Generate inventory, HUD, and icons in one pass so they belong to the same game. Edit layout, color, text, and padding in the studio instead of bouncing to Photoshop. Generic generators can output glossy art and still fail at transparent backgrounds, matching frames, or chunky Roblox shops. ForgeGUI's copy says it is trained on game UI patterns so the first result is closer to drop-in. The business story is that Greco chose a loud, visual buyer: UGC developers who need interface chrome and cannot staff a dedicated UI artist.
Credits are the meter. The FAQ says a free tier ships starter credits, premium plans unlock more credits and faster generation, and different generation types cost different amounts. Referrals can add credits. Free-credit generations may land in a public Asset Catalog after a notice; paid-plan generations are private by default. Commercial use rights are claimed for the creator. That mix is freemium usage: test the generate loop, then sell compute. It is not a seat-only SaaS story in the public materials. Greco's own later posts do not rest on micro-prices. They rest on user counts and a seed round.
Early distribution, in compiled case studies, was build-in-public plus the game-dev grapevine. Greco posted from @im_the_giulio and the product account, sharing demos and climbing MRR screenshots. The more durable channel is inside the product: a gallery of remixes and weekly credit rewards so people come back for inspiration rather than a one-shot generate. Organic clips of Roblox GUIs travel without a brand budget. None of that is an audited acquisition report. It is the shape of a visual tool sold into communities that already show work to each other.
The $100,000 ARR line is the one that travels in catalogues. An MRR Story case, written in interview format from public sources rather than as a signed founder essay, says the studio crossed $100,000 ARR about six weeks after launch, with more than 20,000 users, and lists a public MRR ladder in the mid-to-high thousands before that annualization. Those figures are not independently audited here. They should be read as a reconstruction of Greco's early progress posts. Annualizing a few weeks of MRR into ARR is a habit. It is not a twelve-month contract book. If early posts showed roughly $8,300-plus MRR, twelve times that number is how a $100,000 ARR headline appears. That arithmetic is not proof the revenue was recurring or still true a month later.
What Greco put his name on in June is a round and a user count. In the LinkedIn post at https://www.linkedin.com/posts/giulio-greco-03628141a_i-raised-32m-usd-at-17-announcing-forgeguis-activity-7476432180500422656-lN_T he wrote that he had raised $3.2 million at 17, with a $40 million valuation cap, seed led by Niko Bonatsos and Michael Fertik at Verdict Capital, plus Cory Levy, Sheel Tyle, Patrick Finnegan, and others. He said that since the 12 March launch, about two months earlier, more than 100,000 game developers had used ForgeGUI, with around 30,000 new game-developer users in the prior week. User count is not paying-customer count. A valuation cap is not a cap table you can inspect from this desk. Age appears here only because he used it as a clause in that raise headline.
The same numbers circulated on X: $3.2 million raised, $40 million cap, 90,000-plus game-dev users in about two months, hiring engineers. Later hiring posts claimed 360,000 users and growth on the order of 100,000 users every nine days, then 500,000 users in an August thank-you to investors. Each snapshot is a founder dashboard, not an audit. Do not treat 500,000 users as 500,000 subscribers. The catalogue rank attached to this editorial is the six-week ARR claim. Greco's named posts after the seed emphasize users, hiring, and the cap. Hold both columns: compiled early MRR posts versus later named user-and-raise posts.
Public copy kept adding surfaces: Roblox clothing, UEFN support, thumbnails, 3D assets, reference style, in-browser edits. Shipping speed is the advantage those write-ups stress. The June post already speaks of a team and hiring, so solo is a launch-era label, not a permanent headcount. The primary founder document for money remains the $3.2 million / $40 million-cap post. The primary product document remains the live FAQ: credits, catalog rules, license claims, and engine export.
Read as a sequence, ForgeGUI is a niche-until-it-hurts bet. Do not compete with every AI image site. Compete with the freelancer invoice and the empty HUD the night before a Roblox update. Make the output engine-shaped. Put a gallery in the product so the community markets the community. Price in credits so heavy users pay for compute. Then label numbers as the kind they are. Users are users. MRR is a monthly snapshot. ARR is an annualization. A seed cap is a financing term. Greco's June post does not pretend the raise is ARR. Mixing the columns is how a six-week tool becomes a fake public company.
Conservative close: launch 12 March 2026, used by Greco himself. Product: game-asset studio with style lock, credit metering, and multi-engine export. Financing: $3.2 million at a $40 million cap, founder-reported in June 2026. Users: 100,000-plus game developers about two months after launch, later posts much higher. Revenue: $100,000 ARR and the mid-thousands MRR ladder remain aggregator reconstructions of early public posts, independently unverified, and they are not restated in the named seed announcement. The rest is a credit-metered design tool sold into UGC game communities that already talk.
