About the startup
Curiate is an independently developed content discovery application designed to broaden your knowledge across articles, videos, and books. It's free to use, with an optional premium tier. Curated multi-format learning paths and a topic-focused discovery engine provide an alternative to feed apps built to hold your attention. Curiate is for those who want to see new perspectives, discover fascinating topics and grow their knowledge. Get outside your bubble with 'shift' and 'flip' modes — shift moves you into topics next to your own, flip takes you somewhere else entirely. Save articles, videos and books to grow your personal knowledge map and add your friends to share your content, swap feeds and see how your interests compare. Watch your knowledge and expertise grow. Every piece of content you save works toward unlocking higher levels of expertise in the app. Users start at "Curious" and grow through six levels to "Curator" after 500 saves. A personal knowledge map grows with your saved content, and displays the interconnections of your interests. Add your friends to compare knowledge maps.
