About the startup

ApprovaDoc is document control and revision-based training evidence for small regulated and accredited teams: medical device, SaMD, diagnostics, and public safety. Most small teams run policy and SOP training on spreadsheets, email, and a shared drive. That holds up until an auditor asks who acknowledged revision 3 of the cleaning SOP, and whether they did it before or after that revision took effect. What it does - Controlled document register: document ID, owner, revision, effective date, version status - Review and approval workflow with threaded comments and sequential approval phases - Revision-triggered retraining: release a new revision and only the people who need it get reassigned, without losing history - Optional comprehension quizzes before acknowledgment, with scores and attempts retained - Periodic review on 6 to 36 month intervals, with reminders and formal sign-off - Automatic due-date and overdue reminders, so nobody has to chase - Evidence exports by person, document, revision, or date range What makes it different - Immutable by construction. Acknowledgments, quiz attempts, e-signatures, and the audit log are write-once at the database grant level, not just hidden from the UI. The application has no path to edit or delete them at any privilege level it runs with. - SHA-256 hash on every document version at upload, so an auditor can confirm the file they are reading is the file that was approved. - 21 CFR Part 11 aligned e-signatures: re-authenticated at signing and HMAC-bound to the record. - Deliberately not an eQMS. No CAPA, no complaints, no supplier management. Document control and training evidence, nothing else, which is why a 12-person company can set it up in an afternoon instead of running a six-month implementation. What you get out of it - An audit evidence pack in minutes instead of a week of reconciling spreadsheets against email threads - A defensible answer to the training questions in an ISO 13485 or FDA QMSR audit, or an accreditation assessment - Confidence that a document change actually reached the people it had to reach Self-serve, no demo gate. Free 14-day trial with no credit card. Paid plans from $79/month for 10 people up to $249/month for 75. Bigger teams on request.
