About the startup
Lowtein shows you this week's real grocery deals for your city — and tells you whether each "sale" is actually below the average price, or just dressed up with a sticker. Every week it pulls flyer prices for the staples that matter — meat, fish, dairy, eggs — across hundreds of cities in Canada and the US, normalizes everything to a common unit ($/lb, $/100g, $/dozen), and checks each price against the government's official average price data (Statistics Canada in Canada, the US BLS in the States). So instead of guessing, you see at a glance: 🥩 the cheapest cut at each store this week 📊 how it stacks up against the real average price ✅ whether it's a genuine deal — or you're overpaying No login, no newsletter, no app to install. Just open your city and shop smarter. Free.
