Launch rules
Rules
Short on purpose. Version 2026-10. Changes apply to future launches only.
Launching
- You launch a product you are authorized to represent. The profile needs a verified domain, a logo, a description, a category and at least one screenshot or demo video.
- You pick any day from tomorrow up to eight weeks ahead. There is no limit on how many products launch on the same day.
- The launch starts at 00:00 Pacific Time and accepts votes for seven days. You can edit the text until the start; afterwards it is frozen and you add updates in the discussion.
- A product launches again only with a real update and at least 90 days after its previous launch day.
- Astracia may also list real products from its catalog. Such launches are labelled and their owners can claim them at any time.
Voting
- One person, one account, one vote per launch. Every valid vote is one point; comments, visits and payments are zero points.
- Any account with a verified e-mail can vote: founders, people from the community and visitors who joined just to vote. New accounts are not worth less.
- You cannot vote for your own product or for a product of a team you belong to.
- You may vote for as many launches as you like. You can withdraw a vote until the launch closes.
- A vote counts for the day it was cast and for the calendar week, month and year of the launch, as on Product Hunt.
Promotion
- Allowed: sharing the launch page, asking people to try the product and support it if they find it useful.
- Not allowed: buying or exchanging votes, multiple accounts, automation, discounts or rewards for voting, spamming strangers.
- Votes that look coordinated, for example many new accounts voting together, are held for a moderator. They count again as soon as they are confirmed; nothing is deleted automatically.
- Invalid votes are removed without punishing the maker. A product is disqualified only when it is shown to be involved.
Results and moderation
- Top 10 of the day, week, month and year; places 1 to 3 get gold, silver and bronze, and a badge for the product site. Top 3 per launch group when the group has enough participants.
- A place is awarded only with enough products, independent teams and voters; ties share a place.
- Moderators can unlist a launch with a reason. The owner can appeal a removal or a result from My Launch within seven days of the decision; we answer within seven days, and a confirmed mistake produces a new, dated result while the earlier one stays visible in the history.
